The teaching staff at Le Lagon des Ours comprises 3 specialist educators, 6 childcare assistants and 7 nursery helpers. These professionals are led by a Director (qualified nurse) and Deputy Director (specialist educator). We also have two more support staff.
With over 600m2 of nursery facilities, Le Lagon des Ours is split into three sections. BORA BORA, our baby section, has places for 14 kids aged between 21⁄2 months and 12 months, watched over by 5 trained professionals. YUCCA is our middle section, with 25 infants of between 12 and 18 months watched over by 6 professionals. Older children join the 6 professionals in our KAKI section, with room for 25 toddlers aged 18 months and over. The KOH-LANTA room is where the kids develop their motor skills through play, with a variety of games and toys. The room also has a ‘splash play’ corner and a body painting area. The internal playground, with its planted wall, provides extra space for a huge variety of games.
Teaching at Le Lagon des Ours is entirely based around the children’s well-being and development. Professionals develop activities tailored to the specific needs of their groups, matching the ages and abilities of the kids. Throughout the day, the kids’ timetable is organised to respect their individual needs, personalities and physical and educational capacities.
