The multi-disciplinary team of childcare professionals at Quai des Ours are on hand to welcome young children on a full- or part-time basis. The teaching we offer is based on discovery, experimentation, independence and language skills, as well as a special emphasis on helping parents with their responsibilities.
Workshop sessions include music, baking, playing in the paddling pool, painting and more, tailored to the children’s ages (toddlers upwards). The little ones work in small groups to explore new spaces, materials and experiences at their own pace. For those who prefer to sit back and watch, each classroom has its own comforting relaxation space. For babies, we work to accommodate their individual needs.
The facilities are divided into a series of specially-designed spaces, each named in keeping with the theme of water. The Salle de l’Ecluse (Lock Room) is a flexible space where the kids take part in the various workshops and eat their meals. The Aquarium is home to the paddling pool, and Les Cascades (Waterfalls) is our PE room. The Caribou/Limpopo and Mississippi/Pacific rooms are our dedicated spaces for slightly older kids, while babies are looked after in the Bulle /Flocon (Bubble/Snowflake) space. Last but not least, the outdoor patio space is perfect for ball games and tricycles.
